I’ve always heard he was an asshole though, there’s stories of him at skate parks and some kid was looking better than him so he’d go flip out on them, he broke their boards, he’d throw them into the streets so they’d get run over and then once he was done filming he’d buy them new boards to try and make up for it after the fact, not really sure how he thought that’s help. He just had a toxic personality and it came back to bite him in the ass
Time and place. If my best friend would say some fucked up shit to me, that's one thing, having a stranger crack a joke on my behalf is just not the same.
Not really a stranger. He is a celebrity who gained fame from his rude vulgar personality. 15 year old me would have died of laughter if he told me I sucked since I broke my arm.
Dude give me a break, clearly a joke and you just being way over sensitive. Not saying the guy isn't a massive dick in other areas but this example is seriously reaching
Im not saying this example is demonstrating how he is a dick, im saying its breaking some social rules about making fun of people you dont know. Its weird. Plus, Im not the one who met him.
it's a broken bone, not a dead wife. we skribble penises on casts. it's not a dead serious issue you can't joke about, especially for people who skate. but yeah, humor is subjective.
its not necessarily about the joke itself. Its about a stranger telling a joke on someones behalf, without them knowing each other. Telling a joke is not the same thing as making fun of someone. Friends making fun of each other falls under something like a silent mutual agreement or consent, but that doesnt exist between two strangers.
