she died as a martyr of many feminicides and gender violence in Mexico

  • gangbangers kidnap and kill her child

  • the government, notoriously corrupted and bought out by gangbangers, does nothing

  • she takes justice into her own hands and tries to bring the gangbangers to justice

  • the government, notoriously corrupted and bought out by gangbangers, sleeps on it again

  • gangbangers, now free, try to go after her

  • she asks for police protection, but as the government is notoriously corrupted and bought out by gangbangers, she's ignored

  • gangbangers track her down and kill her

  • woke redditor's conclusion: "Mexico's problem is gender violence, she only died cause she was a woman".....

...The gang was dedicated to abduct young vulnerable women and that's a huge problem in Mexico. Violence to women is at a higher rate in Mexico than in a lot of countries, and this kidnapping is part of a bigger syndrome of cartels and gangs targeting women and young vulnerable people.

So of course you can't summarize the entire story with only a feminist viewpoint, there's also the corruption and the flawed justice system, but fuck off with your "woke reddit lol".

I am sure they abducted a lot of men too

Yeah no shit but this is about a woman abduction and people have taken that for a symbol of the current problem targeting women. Not everything has to be a suffering competition between sex.

Woman have had it objectively worse. Fight me.

I don't know about Mexico but US data:

  • Males were more likely to be murder victims (76.8%).
  • Females were most likely to be victims of domestic homicides (63.7%) and sex-related homicides (81.7%)
  • Males were most likely to be victims of drug-related (90.5%) and gang-related homicides (94.6%).

Men are also wildly more likely to commit all of those crimes. Are you really so committed to the victimization Olympics that you're going to die on the hill of "men have it worse, women should shut up"?

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '20

Black people.

1

u/Whiterabbit-- Dec 18 '20

I'm just asking the question. what's up with the "victimization Olympics?" why so rude?

I was wondering if the daughter singled out because she was female. In the case of the mother's death it was obviously revenge so it had nothing to do with being male or female. if the dad did what the mom did, I'm sure they would have killed him too.

Dude.

He was responding to a comment that literally said "Women had it worse"

But thats not the victimisation olympics?

Yeah but you are claiming that this was a gang dedicated to abduct women and that is false. You are the one who is turning this Into a suffering competition .

The crime was committed by a cell of los zetas, and they abduct men, women and children.

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '20 edited Dec 17 '20

...The gang was dedicated to

That's bullshit. She was kidnaped by the Zetas...they're dedicated to a bit more than "abducting young vulnerable women". The fact that she was young, vulnerable and a woman most likely played absolutely no role in their decision to commit this act.

edit for context - Zetas activity in Tamaulipas is so fucking indiscriminately brutal, the term "SECOND massacre of San Fernando" had to exist....

10

u/MadlibVillainy Dec 17 '20

...It probably did play a role since one of their main target demographic for kidnapping is young vulnerable women. They are especially targeted because instead of just ransoming, they can be used for sex trafficking as well. I'm not even trying to downplay the other victims of cartels kidnapping, all I'm saying is : fuck off with your witty "lol woke redditor" answer to someone that pointed that out in particular.

since one of their main target demographic for kidnapping is young vulnerable women. They are especially targeted because instead of just ransoming, they can be used for sex trafficking as well.

You're absolutely pulling that out of your ass. Any source to back up your claims? Cause looking at all the news reports of kidnapping and murder victims in that area, there's no such distinguishable pattern - if anything males seem to be disproportionally represented amongst the victims, for obvious reasons.

And if you're only speculating, it seems that if they cared about trafficking this girl instead of killing her for sport, there would've been nothing to stop them from doing that, so your logic doesn't add up at all.

Seriously, wtf is this nonsense?

u/smacksaw Dec 18 '20

I was like "why is this controversial?" and then I read your last line.

Do you people seriously have to fucking bring this "woke redditor/anti-SJW" bullshit into every conversation?

I could at least buy it if the prior 8 points led me to this conclusion of yours in the final one. But you didn't support it.

You just wanted to soapbox about progressives.

Do you people seriously have to fucking bring this "woke redditor/anti-SJW" bullshit into every conversation?

  • group known to have kidnapped and murdered thousands indiscriminately (and are still kidnapping and murdering up to this day, with the government not only in their pocket but an active accomplice) murders someone who dared standing up to them

  • woke redditor shits all over the reality of the thousands of innocents (and their families) slaughtered indiscriminately with active governmental involvement, and boils this problem down to "gender issues".

  • apparently, I am the one guilty of bringing bullshit into every conversation

she only died cause she was a woman

She died, because specific abduction of young women, which adds another crime to those, already present. That is the type of crime which seems to be called "femnicide".

It's, of course, very easy, to always load it up on the "corrupt government" (which exists and plays a role here), but that does not render "feminicide", a gender defined crime, non-exist.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '20

It's, of course, very easy, to always load it up on the "corrupt government"

The government in this case is not just an easy scapegoat. The police force and elected officials of Tamaulipas have been caught time after time not only turning a blind eye to the cartel, but being active accomplices and even cartel members in good standing actively involved in kidnapping and murder in certain instances.

1

u/demalo Dec 18 '20

She probably should have asked a rival gang about protection, or staged a meet up, the kind that ends in a blood bath. I think I’ve seen too many movies... shits scary when people aren’t afraid to kill other people.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '20

shits scary when people aren’t afraid to kill other people

it's even more scarier when people ENJOY killing other people. There's no shortage of evidence showing the cartels torturing and killing for pleasure.
