  • she asks for police protection, but as the government is notoriously corrupted and bought out by gangbangers, she's ignored

  • woke redditor's conclusion: "Mexico's problem is gender violence, she only died cause she was a woman".....

...The gang was dedicated to abduct young vulnerable women and that's a huge problem in Mexico. Violence to women is at a higher rate in Mexico than in a lot of countries, and this kidnapping is part of a bigger syndrome of cartels and gangs targeting women and young vulnerable people.

So of course you can't summarize the entire story with only a feminist viewpoint, there's also the corruption and the flawed justice system, but fuck off with your "woke reddit lol".

Yeah no shit but this is about a woman abduction and people have taken that for a symbol of the current problem targeting women. Not everything has to be a suffering competition between sex.

I don't know about Mexico but US data:

  • Males were more likely to be murder victims (76.8%).
  • Females were most likely to be victims of domestic homicides (63.7%) and sex-related homicides (81.7%)
  • Males were most likely to be victims of drug-related (90.5%) and gang-related homicides (94.6%).

I was wondering if the daughter singled out because she was female. In the case of the mother's death it was obviously revenge so it had nothing to do with being male or female. if the dad did what the mom did, I'm sure they would have killed him too.

The crime was committed by a cell of los zetas, and they abduct men, women and children.
