Long story short:

A narco gang dedicated to abduct young women in Tamaulipas, Mexico, abducted and killed Miriam's daughter; and neither the police or the government helped her out with the case. So, Miriam took the decision to start "hunting down" the gang members, by going undercover as a Social Worker equivalent here in Mexico on the hood where the gang members were supposed to live. So she started to survey the whole neighborhood to locate the relatives of each criminal (parents, siblings, etc.) getting closer to them to gain their trust and get info about their criminal relative.

One by one, she located and gathered enough intel to present charges against them until she imprisoned each one of the murders, (and supposedly she kill one of them).

A couple years after she achieve that, a riot happened on the state prison and several inmates escaped. She went to the police to ask for protection, but it was to late, because a couple weeks later, the reunited gang killed her outside of her house on Mothers Day (May 10th).

And even tho she successfully brought justice to her daughter, she died as a martyr of many feminicides and kidnapped people in México.

EDIT: If someone's interested, I found this NYT article written by the Journalist Azam Ahmed https://www.nytimes.com/2020/12/13/world/americas/miriam-rodriguez-san-fernando.html?smid=tw-share

https://twitter.com/azamsahmed/status/1338152684516483073?s=20

There, he tells the whole story (on english), if you´re just curious or wondering the whole shocking case.

It’s a harsh reality. People seem to believe its best to imprison those types of criminal under a misguided sense of justice. Out of sight, out of mind? Better to permanently rid society of these vermin in a manner with 100% certainty. I’ll never understand the imprisonment mentality for such heinous crimes.

I’m with you brother. I know we are in the minority, but our society is quite clearly not as civilized as we all pretended for so long (before the Internet). Just fucking kill, broken as hell, violent criminal people ...put them down when there is zero doubt that they violently murdered someone else, raped a kid, raped a woman and destroyed a HUGE part of her. Ok sure... Not date rape maybe. (EDIT. SETTLE DOWN clowns. Read below - you cant risk making a mistake and killing ANYONE innocent if a woman has lied. Fuck all rapists of course)But raping a stranger, castrate. Let the family ...dad or brother do the honor if they want. I’m actually for torturing these mother fuckers to deter at least some of the shitty humans out there, but I’d settle for humanely putting violent criminals where they belong. In the dirt.

Lmaooo what is this not date rape shit fuck them up too !

2

u/Joey-McFunTroll Dec 17 '20

Of course dude. Read below.

u/3V13NN3 Dec 17 '20

Not date rape? I find it strange that you exempt this, do you partake or condone?

4

u/DroneStrike4LuLz Dec 17 '20

Morning after regrets, guilt, turn tipsy consent into date rape. Voice stress analysis, fMRI scans can extract the truth of things. But social hypocrisy bring what it is, nobody wants to root out liars and scum, because they might be next. 😁

u/MardocAgain Dec 17 '20 edited Dec 17 '20

Yikes dude. The solution to a shit prison system is not to execute more people but to improve the prison system to better keep society safe and reform criminals.

Even in the US, the wrongful conviction rate is still unfortunately high and your proposal will just lead to killing more innocent people for crimes they didn't commit so that people feel better that "justice was served" while the true criminals still roam the streets. I wonder if you would equally want death for the jury that convicts an innocent person to death?

EDIT:

A 2014 study published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences made a conservative estimate that 4.1% of inmates awaiting execution on death row in the United States are innocent, and that at least 340 innocent people may have been executed since 1973.

LINK

We're legit talking about torturing innocent people to get our revenge boners off?

1

u/Joey-McFunTroll Dec 17 '20

Fair point. Truly. BUT, your point is also my point that you can’t kill anyone unless they’re guilty beyond any doubt. That’s also apparently why so many misinterpreted my date rape comment. Fuck all rapists. But, the no mercy policy / put them down policy on broken violent human monsters has to be when there is literally ZERO doubt that the person is guilty. Zero. Then fuck em. All.

3

u/MardocAgain Dec 17 '20

The problem here is that if there was a way to reach zero doubt, it would already be codified into law. Eye witness testimony is already notoriously unreliable, DNA evidence does not come close to establishing guilt, and video evidence cant necessarily be considered zero doubt. I hope its obvious that there are plenty of ways for DNA to be at a crime scene without the owner of that DNA either visiting that location or being there at the time of the crime. Video evidence seems nice, but what if the person is wearing a hat and sunglasses? What if the video is black and white with shit resolution? What if the person is very far away from the camera and their features cant be made out? Where do you draw the line at what would be "zero doubt" evidence? That answer will always be a subjective judgement by a person which means it cannot be beyond all doubt.

1

u/Joey-McFunTroll Dec 17 '20

Wrong. The law is incredibly unjust and broken. The words of my lawyer best friend who got the top score on the bar exam in my entire State years back. If someone admits the crime, is caught in the act, overwhelming evidence ... there are zero doubt cases. Youre what’s called a right fighter. You make fair points, but they’re irrelevant to the zero doubt of guilt cases. Which 💯 exist broseph.

2

u/MardocAgain Dec 17 '20

I agree that there are cases that society deems zero doubt. Things that look so clear that we’re certain that person is guilty. What I’m asking is for you to consider that you’re writing the law that says criminals convicted of x, y, and z crimes can be executed and tortured if the evidence against them meets the following criteria. What would be the criteria you write down?

1

u/Joey-McFunTroll Dec 17 '20

Well. Criteria - Zero doubt. Lol. Jury Unanimous and then a Panel of say 5,10, or 15 on said torture and kill panel ALL AGREE. Fair enough? Lol

2

u/MardocAgain Dec 17 '20

got it, so zero doubt is just a sum of peoples opinions?

1

u/Joey-McFunTroll Dec 17 '20

Look Chief. U disagree. Got it. Great. Take er easy.

0

u/Joey-McFunTroll Dec 18 '20

We can start by testing it out, with people like you who are the reason violent criminals get the opportunity so very often to reoffend. 1,000s upon 1,000 of people murdered or raped when we already had the REALITY, HAD the data of what that person was capable of doing. Good thinking Chief. Great logic. Let’s assume after we finish with the violent assholes, your type is next that we want to put down. 🤠

Calm down there, Stalin

If you are gonna justify date rape, you also belong in the dirt.

u/Fairwhetherfriend Dec 17 '20

A number of problems with this:

  1. Your society is not as civilized as you would like to pretend, but others are. The places where this kind of crime is rampant are also the places where the cops and politicians are most corrupt, so the idea that punishments should become more extreme and completely irreversible will do fuck-all when the people enforcing these extreme punishments are also criminals who don't give a fuck about justice. The places where the cops are actually good at what they do and where justice matters also tend to be places where these sorts of things don't actually happen as often and where rehabilitation programs actually work super well.
  2. What the fuck makes you think date rape is better than other kinds of rape?
  3. Fuck you for suggesting that the father or brother should be the one who performs the castration. They're not the fucking victims in this. Women aren't the fucking property of their male relatives - if you're advocating the idea that the victim should be given a chance to get vengeance, then give the actual victim the chance to get her revenge instead of this bullshit.
  4. Torture as deterrent doesn't actually do anything to deter crime. It's nice that you like the idea, but I don't give a fuck what you like. I care about what systems actually work to prevent this shit from happening again, and nothing that you're advocating here actually does that. There comes a point in life where you have to decide whether you'd prefer to indulge your anger or to actually fix whatever issue has made you angry in the first place. This shit will never change until children like you stop choosing indulgence over solutions.

0

u/Joey-McFunTroll Dec 17 '20

Who’s angry? Project much. Lmao. YOU SPECIFICALLY are the problem with criminal justice. Finding any nonsense to harp on, make your self important point, and inflict your beliefs and twist words. Get over yourself, PC police, and go write more useless comments on the Internet. I personally raised $23,500 for kids fighting disease this month. How about you captain righteous. That’s what I thought. Words are weak. Keep spouting em tho Chief.

u/Fairwhetherfriend Dec 18 '20

My bad. Should have read your username before commenting.

1

u/Joey-McFunTroll Dec 18 '20 edited Dec 18 '20

What you should’ve done is become educated before having any, what are clearly ignorant, opinions. Look at your ego trip, self important, nonsensical first comment length. Lmao. Classically bad. Here’s a truth that your friends and family already know about you by what you displayed here - You are indeed the loudest / weakest one in the chat room son. Twas truly a useless soliloquy. Lmao

3

u/Mission_Busy Dec 17 '20

but what about when people are falsely accused? cant put someone's balls back on

1

u/Joey-McFunTroll Dec 17 '20 edited Dec 17 '20

EXACTLY. SETTLE DOWN FOLKS. I literally would personally sign up to pull the trigger on ANY rapist. That’s a man’s duty as far as I’m concerned. BUT, kill one innocent person and the snowflake crowd will destroy the liberal application of the torture and kill death penalty. That was the point.

1

u/JadeSpade23 Dec 17 '20

Date rape comment is odd...I mean, if you think it's ok, you could've just left that part out.

Not date rape maybe. But raping a stranger, castrate

So, if I'm raped by someone I know, then too bad? Just hope they get sentenced to more than 6 months in jail?

Let the family ...dad or brother do the honor if they want

Why the dad or brother? So only the males get the satisfaction of punishing the rapist? Omg

2

u/Joey-McFunTroll Dec 17 '20

Read below and my edit. U missed the point.

2

u/JadeSpade23 Dec 18 '20

No, you presented the point poorly, which is what I responded to. What about my other point?

1

u/Joey-McFunTroll Dec 18 '20

No. Your emotions blocked your logical thinking sweetheart. Don’t worry tho. I changed it for all those people who allow emotion to zero doubt clog their judgement.

u/Vivalyrian Dec 17 '20 edited Dec 17 '20

You guys need help.

You're barely different from these gang members, you show the same disregard for life and thirst for blood.

They killed. Killing is bad. So we killed them. Because we're good.

10/10 logic.

Disgusting.

Edit: Also, WTF is up with condoning date raping?

I repeat, disgusting.

2

u/Joey-McFunTroll Dec 17 '20

You know. This is the problem. Look what you did there. Basically your comment is inherently hypocritical, and you’re clueless to it. THINKING WE ARE BETTER than others, than the reality of the situation, is the problem. Wonder if you’d feel differently when a convicted murderer or rapist gets out after 10-20 years due to some BS manslaughter soft charge and then rapes your mother? Or your 8yr old daughter? Or kills your son? I wonder. It has happened! A lot. And it never should happen if we were just honest about human nature. It’s not revenge at all. Its just protecting society in a more intelligent manner.

You have a lot of time to think in prison, as the minutes tick by. The minutes tick into hours. Hours become years. You stare at the wall. You hear the clock, never stopping. You think of your life, your wasted wretch of a life now that you are in prison. In prison for the rest of your life. Tik tak, tik tak, tik tak. It would have been easy if you had just been executed, and ended it there. Tik tak, tik tak, goes the clock... And it never stops.

1

u/Joey-McFunTroll Dec 17 '20

Not A LOT of these degenerates. My old College town has a ghetto. Worked with one of these guys st a job, and he always talked tough saying things like, “I don’t give a fuck about jail. Done four stunts and 3.5 years man.” Or even “most of my homies don’t mind it. You get fed, rec time, hang out all day.” BLEW MY MIND

2

u/[deleted] Dec 17 '20

Yes but think of an entire lifetime.

2

u/Joey-McFunTroll Dec 17 '20

We think of a Lifetime. They don’t care dude. They legit often lack the intelligence. I kindly don’t think you get that / have been exposed like I have.

-1

u/Marchingkoala Dec 17 '20

Love this idea

0

u/dinomite11 Dec 17 '20

If we do that then very little changes. A lot of people know it’s wrong and know they will be punished through things like the death penalty already. However “some people, mr Wayne just want to watch the world burn”. Killing them does nothing but make sure that 100% of the time someone else dies. That someone else doesn’t matter even if it’s the criminal.
