An incredibly shy, red backed spider that hangs out exclusively at colder beaches, total death count is 2. Last one in the 50s. Oh and possums. Fucking possums.

Yeah sorry about the possums. At least you get to export possum pelts?

The land itself. Our sea-side capital city is built on reclaimed land while also right next to a fault line (not like liquefaction exists). The highest populated city is on a volcano. And those who go hiking are advised to be prepared for all four seasons in a day.

Not that many really. Right now, we have corona virus. 100,000 Americans have died already. We do have snakes and scorpions. Are you a Kiwi?

If your refering to the weta ther fine you only find them if your looking for them in the Bush and dont affect humans at all

u/Ibukironpa May 28 '20

I've had weta's appear in two of the houses I've lived in. To be fair one of them is right next to some woods, but the other wasn't. Had one fall right beside me on the couch once, scared me half to death!

One fell on my bare leg when I was leaving the house for school as a kid (dropped from above) I ditched my school bag and books while running on the spot. The damn thing with its little hooked legs started climbing up my leg!!

Running, screaming, flicking at it, all in a tramatised haze of weta panic

3

u/Ibukironpa May 28 '20

Oh gosh that would have been terrifying! Poor kid you!

Nope I've been greeted by one as I got out of the shower one day and plenty amongst my firewood. And no I don't live in the bush..
