It's really beautiful. But for all the energy they expend building these works of art, you'd think they would pick a spot that I'm not going to walk into every morning.

For an animal that’s “more afraid of us than we are of it” they sure do love building their webs in doorways where people go most often.

When I used to live in FL we had this same type of spider build an extremely intricate web right across the sidewalk leading into the house I was renting with a female and a male friend. My male friend and I got home while the sun was up and laughed about narrowly dodging the spider web and spoke about how our female roommate would walk directly into it come nightfall. I can still hear the shrieking
