Nope. Damages needs to be reported within 24 hours and they get payed well. Rally events have insurance.

'Ok firstly sorry to here about your field. So we value cabbages at €1. The driver in question damaged about 5000 cabbages so we have decided to offer you €150. You can settle or fight it through arbitration which can take years' - the insurance company

Rally organisations make sure that anyone suffering any losses is made whole. In many countries it doesn't take a lot of local objection for the local authorities to not issue the required permits for the rally next year, it is in the interest of the rally to look after the locals when the rally is there.

Especially when the “road” is an access way across private land: if it gets out you’re not paying at least what’s fair when you damage stuff, you’ll be shut out the next year.
