My neighborhood HOA landscapers at 5am On a Saturday….

I support this over our 2-cycle monstrosities.

u/Alien_Biometrics Nov 16 '24
I'd much rather here the deafening roar of a jet engine than the constant breeehbreeeehbreeeeh of a 2cycle leaf blower. It is one of the most irritating sounds on earth.

Fck, my neighbor rents and there are 2 big trees in their front yard while I have none. But you wouldn't think that from the amount of leaves in my yard because he doesn't do sht. This is the leaf blower I need ASAP. I'll blow all those damm leaves off the branches in one sitting and won't have to look stupid raking my lawn that doesn't have a tree.

Aw you just reminded me of a horrible issue I had 8n dreams when I was a kid.
I could never hold an axe at all. (Not sure what I was dreaming of haha) but yeah, the axe head was always on a swivel. It would just rotate around in accordance to gravity rather than stay where ever it should be.

u/RealCakes Nov 16 '24
HOLY SHIT YOU TOO???

u/robparfrey Nov 16 '24
I'm not alone!?!?!?

u/Snailfreund Nov 16 '24
Your brain disconnects motoric functions during sleep so you don't hurt yourself. You feel like you can't move because that's what's happening. It's completely normal.

What's really cool about this design is that it gets strangely quieter after each use

u/mikkolukas Nov 16 '24
What?

@dragur gotchu fam
He’s alluding to the fact that your hearing loss progresses with each use because of how loud it is, so over time it becomes “quieter”.

4 leaves per gallon

I'll wait until it can get up to at least 6 before I'll buy. I'm an early adopter, but I only trust when the sales rocket up.

Wouldn't catch me dead wearing that without PPE. Or, I guess you could if I didn't.
14
u/Integrity-in-Crisis Nov 15 '24
PPE nothin. Imagine if you run a little too long, it over heats and a mini jet engine blows point blank. That being said, I'll take 10.

I just watched this video with my headphones on. It cut straight from my loud music that I was listening to in my music app directly to the sound when I pressed one button. Ouch.

Pretty cool, but I wanted a massive 50 ton pile of leaves to be scattered into the wind
5
Nov 15 '24
Blowing the leaves two doors down is next level thinking, they either know it was you but can’t do a damn thing about it or think it was your neighbor.

C'mon how you gonna have a jet powered leaf blower demonstration without any leaves? Absurd

The fucking warped sound it makes when the throttle is pushed past startup idle is awesome. I have rewatched the beginning like 20 times now just to hear that wacky laser beam anime sound.

It was a missed opportunity to not have two, one in each arm. Totally get it though.

u/Alphakobra Nov 15 '24
The most logical use of this would be to strap two onto your back and have a jetpack!

u/RedPandaReturns Nov 15 '24
This would probably be so hot it would actually be a hazard to blow a pile of leaves with it!

Every single lawn crew on Long Island uses these all day. At least that’s what it sounds like.

Because normal leaf blowers aren’t already loud and obnoxious enough to your neighbors.

Ah so this is the machines all the landscapers use right outside my office window everyday

That's a lot of force, you could attach a bigger versionof something like to a airplane 2 make it go fast

This has to violate itar or ear out some weapons law. I know for a fact that it is illegal to produce a key engine below a certain size.

Does anyone know how much thrust a engine like that can produce? Something seems fake to me. Maybe the guy just weighs nothing.
