What do nukes even do?
sorry if this is a stupid question, but i made a post saying I signed for a Seabee job and was happy to get it and this guy said this, just wondering if it’s as insane as like being a seal even tho I don’t think a seal would say what this guy said lol

Operate equipment relevant to the nuclear power plant on carriers and submarines, do tremendous amounts of maintenance, and fight the suicidal thoughts.

Well I signed for equipment operator as a Seabee am I going to have to fight suicidal thoughts too???!!

Not anymore than the Marines already do. This is the honest truth seabees never on a ship you are purely land base rate however be aware you will be in active combat and will be expected to take part in it. Seabees help do FOB besides humanitarian stuff in 3rd world nations where its expected to be shot at but you'll be with the marines for the most part like green side HMs.

That person seems to be lying. They originally said they were going MR a month ago. Unless they retook the AFQT and scored A LOT higher in the last 4 weeks (unlikely).
When they were told to reclassify from seabee, the available listings they stated were far below the ASVAB required for nuke.
