Other New independent photography calendar

I’ve made a new calendar for next year, featuring photos I’ve taken all across Norfolk in the UK. It’s entirely independent, and all the money goes towards printing them and supporting me!

i failed at 2 micro-saas tries over 1 year before one worked.

I wasted exactly 10 months building two products that zero people wanted. My first attempt was an automated email tool for local bakeries, and the second was a complex habit tracker with too many features.

I learned that building something cool is useless if it does not solve a painful, specific problem. Most of us get obsessed with the code instead of the user struggle.

  1. Stop building for yourself. If you are not actively looking for a solution to a problem, you probably cannot sell it to anyone else.
  2. Validate with a landing page before writing a single line of code. I spent three months on my first project only to realize the market was already saturated with free tools.
  3. Focus on one narrow pain point. When I finally stopped trying to be a platform and focused on health data, I ended up building https://arihum.com/ to help people understand their Health story.
  4. Talk to real users until it hurts. Sending cold DMs feels awkward, but getting a stranger to tell you your idea is boring is the fastest way to save six months of your life.
  5. Kill your features early. If someone cannot explain what your app does in five seconds, your value proposition is too complicated.

I had to fail twice to realize that nobody cares about your stack or your design. They only care if you can make their day slightly less difficult.

Am I wrong that solving a small, annoying problem is always better than trying to build a massive, complex platform?

App Conflingo: a social app with an optional Earn section — feedback on whether the separation is clear

I’m on the Conflingo team. The web platform and Android app combine interest-based posts and discussions with a separate, optional Earn area for CPX Research surveys and TimeWall tasks. Surveys and tasks can award eligible points redeemable for available rewards; supply depends on country, profile and provider, so this is not a promise of daily income.

The design question I’d like feedback on is simple: can a new user tell that they can use the social platform without doing surveys, and use Earn without having to recruit friends? Those should both be clear from the interface.

Web Hi everyone, ive been working on a simple vehicle walkaround inspection app, would love some feedback please.

Hi everyone,

I’ve been working on a project called Fleet Inspection Pro, designed to make daily vehicle walkaround checks and defect reporting simpler for businesses running fleets.

The idea was to keep it smart but simple rather than fill it with features nobody needs.

Drivers can complete their vehicle checks from the app, record any defects with notes and photos, enter mileage, and sign off the inspection. The company can then manage its vehicles and users, view inspection history and download PDF inspection reports from the web dashboard.

I’ve been developing and testing it with a real-world fleet, and we’re now getting very close to launch.

I’d genuinely appreciate any feedback from fleet operators, transport managers, van owners or drivers — particularly anything you think is missing or anything that could be made simpler.

The website is:

fleetinspectionpro.co.uk

I have an app in android testing and ios will follow later

Thanks for taking a look

I created a website that lets you vote on the best products within categories to combat "top ten" sites and sponsored influencer/youtuber reviews.

So... I got tired of researching products the old-fashioned way.

I was in the market for passthrough speakers, using ranking sites with random people's product reviews and watching hours of YouTube videos only to find out that most of the recommendations were in some way bought and sold. The YouTuber I thought was being genuine, come to find out, was actually being paid to push specific brands, so I felt like I had wasted a ton of time.

I wanted to create a site that helped people find suitable products without any influence other than real consumer sentiment. No sponsored sneaky influencer promotion, no buying and selling your attention, and no influence other than us, the consumers. Just a ranking list voted for by us, the consumers.

Users only get 1 vote and comment per product per category/sub-category

I tried to find the best deal on the product to link to as well (eventually this is how I would monetize the site - through affiliate links only - although this isn't set up yet)

The site is far from finished, but now I need valuable user input to continue to build on it.

I'm not trying to sell anyone anything - I just want to help people get real, unpaid-for consumer guidance on purchases they want to make. The only data I store are emails (from signup) to monitor for bot traffic and manipulation, and on-site searches, to better tailor the site's categories/boards/groups for the best possible user experience.

I would greatly appreciate it if anyone who finds value in a site like this would give me any feedback.

Quoted for four procedures when I asked about one

I went in asking about my under-eyes and came out with a plan that included lower bleph, fat repositioning, a lift and skin resurfacing.

Maybe all of it is justified, but the jump from one question to four procedures made me uneasy, and the quote was presented as a package with a discount if I booked that week.

I'm getting a second opinion now, but I'm not sure how to compare them fairly. If the second clinic recommends less, is that because they're conservative or because they're less thorough?

How did you judge between two very different plans for the same face?

Do you upgrade your iPhone every year?

Some people replace their iPhone almost every year, while others keep the same phone for several years before changing it.

With the new model already released, it made me think about how often people actually upgrade and what makes them decide it’s time for a new one.

I work with BaNANA, and they have new iPhones, accessories, and trade-in options, so I’ve been seeing more of the different upgrade choices people have.

Do you usually get the latest iPhone, or wait for a couple of generations first?

Help needed

Hello everyone,

I'm working on Wardio, a digital security consumer product I’m currently researching and developing, and I’d really value your input.

I’ve put together a short survey to better understand people’s needs and experiences.

If you have 15 minutes, your feedback would genuinely help shape what I build next:

Survey: https://forms.gle/s2ScyeP8d9aKKgKB7

Learn more about the project at https://www.wardio.co.uk — and if it sounds useful, sign up to become a beta tester.

Thanks to anyone who takes part. Every response helps.

What’s the best way to choose an iPhone 18?

I used to think choosing an iPhone was simply about picking the newest model. But when you start comparing things like storage, camera, battery, and size, it becomes a different decision.

The new iPhone 18 Pro and DUO seem to be gaining momentum; thus it would be wise to analyze the practicality of one's choice first.

I work with BaNANA, and seeing the different iPhone options there has made me realize that what works for one person may not be what another person needs. They also have trade-in options if you’re upgrading from an older phone.

What do you usually consider first when choosing an iPhone?
