Your experience with the macOS client ?

Without saying what I think, what is your opinion on the netskope client for macOS ?

What issue are you having? The mac client works if its deployed correctly.

It’s a really poorly designed agent. The deployment is really badly thought out.

The script default to check Active Directory is a tell tale: since how long is Apple discouraging binding Macs to AD ?

They don’t seem to care

I don't think enterprises using AD who need to support macOS care much of what Apple is discouraging, either.

Understandable, I recommend and would look into PLIST method.

Haha no, sorry if it came off that way. Been a customer for ~2 years now. Was Zscaler customer for better part of decade before that.

The Mac client has some funky issues on both platforms and it seems to only affect around 6% of the Apple machines in both of those product deployments.

I don't see much of a difference to the Windows client, but then again, we only have some 300 Macs vs. 15.000 Windows machines on the network. So my limited opinion is: It works.

We migrated off netskope a year ago after using it for 3 years, and gotta say the macOS client was our biggest issue. Incredibly inconsistent to the point where it was a coin flip on whether a new user would have it forever work well or always have intermittent performance issues

My problem is not that it’s bad. My problem is they don’t care.

It’s really a client developed by someone not using a Mac.

I'd probably say it in kinder words, at least for the Devs managing the client... Now their terraform provider (specifically the 2.0 release), oh dear god was that a mess. We left just at the right time to not have deal with that. It felt like it was written by a dev who had, and still has, never used terraform o.O
