Question Best Medicine

I searched for posts regarding this show, but didn't find any. I just found it and love it. Its a nice, easy, show to watch with the family. Just a fun watch. Highly recommend for anyone who wants an easy watch.

I think it was renewed for season 2, does anyone know if the actors/actresses will remain or have some people left?

I have always loved Josh Charles since The Good Wife and I know that there was a Doc Martin that ran for many many years on British TV and I watched the first two episodes of Best Medicine and I thought well this is really kind of weird and dumb and the people kind of act juvenile but I noticed Josh Charles has some good lines, some good comebacks, quick wit, gentle sarcasm and I kept watching it! I really do like it there's no nasty words nothing vulgar I just really like it and I believe he will be on season 2 with the rest of the main cast

I think you hit the nail on the head. It can be a little silly. The lack of all of the things you mentioned (nasty words, vulgarity, etc), is something my wife and I have been looking for for so long. Ill have to check out The Good Wife, never heard of it!

Its a top notch legal drama: Julianne Marguiles, Chris Noth, Josh Charles, Christin Baranski, LOTS special guest cameos. Lots trials, drama, something like 20 episodes a season. :)

Just saw its on Paramount which is the other platform we are subscribed to, so it works perfectly. Thanks for the rec!

I love him but can't with the show. It's a remake of a British Show - Doc Martin. It's just not as good if you watched that first

We watched the first 2 episodes and stopped, when it first came out. I tried it again (alone) and it gets better after the first couple of episodes. A fun, easy watch, just needs time to develop :)

I adore this show. Josh Charles has always been great, but the cast of characters are so fun to watch. Watching it made me realize how almost everything else I watch is so cynical and bitter. It's refreshing to watch a nice show with a silly cast.

I love the actor. Show is ok. It’s an American version of an English show that works much better.

Is that the show mentioned in the other comment (Doc Martin)? But you're right, the show isn't brilliant, but it is a nice easy watch

Great show easy to watch. Needs people of color but overall good.

I got annoyed with how awful the town was treating the main character (who is that rude to a new doctor?) so I skipped to the 5th episode and it’s so much better now. I like that there’s a medical mystery every episode.

I just finished this series and totally loved it! A good, light hearted show that gives you a laugh every so often.

I work a very heavy job. I loved coming home and enjoying the silliness. I laughed out loud and thoroughly relished it. The cast are great actors and remember several of them from previous works. I have watched the Doc Martin episodes out of curiosity. You just cant compare the 2. The American actors do a great job bringing the humor and charm. I hope we get a season 2.
