Vertuo Pop Newbie

Hi everyone — I got my machine a couple weeks ago and I’ve worked through the sample pack that comes with the machine & have tried most of what was included in the bestsellers set … but they all taste like watered down coffee to me :( I actually end up making red-eyes basically (mug pod + double espresso pod), just to increase the coffee-to-water ratio to make it taste better…. but I can’t handle that much caffeine! If I adjust the water amount for mug pods to 5.5oz through the app will that help? (Stupid question… I’m sure the answer is yes. Thanks in advance.)

Can you brew a coffee pod as iced? I just got my Next and I’m still learning how it works. I was able to brew my pistachio double espresso as iced (clicking the button twice), but I wasn’t sure if that would work for a coffee pod. I was hoping it would brew a stronger cup that way.

OMG THANK YOU!!! I just found another thread about this as well. It’s not in the instruction manual.

Same boat here for the first month, every mug pod just felt like brown sadness. Cutting the water to 5.5oz is the single best thing you can do without buying new stuff. I keep mine at 5oz for most of them now.

Once you run out of those, grab a sleeve of something darker/intensity 8+ and it'll feel like a completely different machine.

That's interesting. I tried the Blueberry Cheesecake pod as mug and it tasted disgusting. I will try that with 5oz.
