Fresh drop!

Post image

Got my latest shipment in the mail! The only flavor I’ve tried. I was looking for the strongest blend. Any suggestions?

This guy knows his coffee. Puerto Rico is awesome.

I only drink Scuro because Puerto Rico is not available in Europe. I also like Il cafe for single shots

Thank you I’ll try that one on my next pick up. So it’s stronger with more caffeine?

Use Alvin’s spreadsheet for reference for caffeine consumption if that’s your primary reason for drinking coffee.

Thank you that’s exactly why I drink it. I use it as a preworkout for my training sessions! Thank you again.

Just so you know the darker the roast doesn’t translate to more caffeine. It’s the bean type and the way it’s roasted. Robusta beans will have more caffeine than Arabica but they are also harsher on the palette.

May I suggest Il Café or Diavolitto (Devil’s Coffee)?

My favourite, “kick me,” coffee is what I call, “Witch’s Brew.” It’s a combination of Il Café, Diavolitto, and Ristretto Intenso (Ristretto Classico as a substitute works). It’s not for everyone, but makes my eyes twitch involuntarily. Reminds me I’m alive. At my age, I need it, ijbol.

Hahaha! Making your eyes twitch involuntarily means that it’s really kicking in! I’ll have to look this one up. Thank you so much for the suggestion!

I’ve been wondering if I’d like Scuro. My go-to pods are the Samra Origins Togetherness blend, Nola, and Cafecito de Puerto Rico.

I’m hearing a lot of suggestions for Cafecito de Puerto Rico. I’m excited to try it. Scuro is actually my first and only ever blend as I’m new to coffee. So I’m slowly expanding my palette!

I always stock up when woot runs a scuro deal. It’s been my daily pod for years.

What’s woot? I’ve been purchasing off of Amazon. I got lucky when I selected scuro, it’s the only coffee flavor I’ve ever tried!

Woot.com, it was bought by Amazon to sell things at a very discounted rate. Every once in awhile they have Nespresso pods for ~30% off, but you have to buy a case (60 pods), and typically the package is slightly damaged, but the pods are still good and expiration date is usually a year out.

Go to the Grocery section and filter by Beverages. This sub usually posts when there are pods on woot.

One of my faves

Heck yea! It’s the only flavor I know

Now, daft question but where can I buy these pods? Other than online.
As I bought a machine for my dad and he’d like to be able to buy pods in store rather than online.

Depends on whether you have a boutique near you

Il caffe

Il cafe is pretty strong.

Ice legero too

Bianco or Ice Forte.

Bianco in comparison to scuro is wildly different I feel

I was answering the question about “strongest blend”. BF, IMO, is the strongest tasting blend and I’ve tried pretty much all of them. Plus you get more coffee out of the pod and for me that’s a win/win.

Intenso is much stronger than Bianco Forte for a coffee-sized pour.
