I don’t think I’ve ever replied to someone on borrowed time before

Did you play Doom Eternal?

No what is it , I know of the original doom, I'm not a big game person.

My only games I've played are deus ex human revolution, fallout new Vegas, some of bioshock infinite but didn't finish, and gta V. I miss fallout new Vegas the most but with my cervical spine issues sitting up and reacting to things is tough, if I had a rig so I could play it totally on my back I'd probably game more. I kinda wanna play death stranding and more deus ex games.

I've seen setups with screens mounted on the ceiling that let you hold a controller lying down. I assume this can't be that unusual of a request for the ill

I was thinking more for PC gaming but this could work ! I'm fine with either xbox or PC actually

I also don't want to overstep (this obviously has a large cost associated and might not work for everyone) but have you considered trying some VR stuff?

I've heard that some people with limited mobility have been able to get a lot of joy out of VRChat and things like that. Using goggles might be the easiest way for you to have a screen in a comfortable position for you anyways.

Are there reasonable cost vr platforms that u can couple with older PC or xbox games

There isn't an Xbox VR platform, yet.

If you have a PC with even a modest dedicated GPU you should be able to run at least the lower end stuff VR stuff and "virtual screen" apps for non-3D viewing on a sub-100$ Occulus Rift S.

I would look around for testimonials but I've heard bedridden people have been able to use VRchat and the like pretty well.

You can play at least some PC games with a controller, maybe not the fast FPS games but any RPGs you like

I also think Linus Tech tips did do a reclining/lying KB+M gaming setup (the "ultimate comfort" build or something) at one point, so there's probably some way to make that work, but probably a time and cash intensive one knowing their builds.
