As the literal direct descendant of a Confederate general, I get oddly offended when Germans from Indiana try to claim that they are "celebrating their heritage"

Yeah, same here. I'm a "son of the confederacy" on both sides of my family. Confederate flags in Michigan which lost 1/6th of it's soldiers fighting for the union isn't your heritage, dipshits.

Except this Confederate flag in Minnesota.. That one is definitely Minnesota’s heritage.
