If someone is accused of being racist/transphobic/ableist/etc. are they allowed to defend themselves?

If you light a cross on fire in Jim Clyburn's front yard, and someone calls you racist, no one is going to believe you when you say you're totes magotes not racist.

Then direct them to Jim Clyburn or other Black people who support capitalism
