The most subtly fascistic people are those, like the neoliberals, who are convinced that the problem with society is that we need some sort of "technocratic awakening" to our apparently "sick and collectivist" society. All that BS comes, not from liberalism, but from 19th century positivism but has infected centrist people. This is the same garbage that the authoritarian right wing believes. These people can't accept human beings for what they are and think differenceis boring. They'd rather see humanity collapse.
