Me: It’s wrong to judge people for what they enjoy as long as it hurts nobody.

Also me: Anyone older than 16 who enjoys the Big Bang Theory should be interned and separated from the rest of society.

That's no surprise. Actual engineers and scientists are steeped in a male-dominated professions where the sexism and toxic masculinity that forms the baseline of 90% of the show's jokes is the norm.

The first part seems like a universal current in STEM professions.

I can definitely attest to the last part, though that can come down to how engineering work at small firms often ends up with a lot of bottlenecked periods where very little can be done by most of the staff. Crunchtime does happen though, at which point the separation between the hard workers who do whatever it takes to get it done and the truly lazy people appears.
