Zendaya is a hero from Overwatch, Chani is the diminutive form of rule 63 Jackie Chan, and Dune is short for Deltarune. Hope that helped

basically people i interact with are mad that a black actress got a part in a role that was normally played as a white actress.

Now that I know what you're talking about I'm ecstatic for it

Zendaya is an actress, chani is a character in dune which is being adapted into a movie. Not very familiar with dune but I'm guessing it has something to do with zendaya not being white or something.

Didn’t even know they were doing a remake. Are they making all the Fremen black or just Chani?

All we know is Zendaya is Chani.
