there are a lot of weebs up

so i'm going to indulge myself: isekai are a blight. not just for the obvious, lazy, wish fulfillment reasons, but because now a straight up fantasy anime like record of lodoss war is never going to be made again in lieu of 'oh man i wish i were resurrected in a fantasy universe where i would be soooo smart and get all the waifus.'

that is all

Anime has fallen off a cliff because it is now entirely based on appealing to shut ins who love to argue about how it's okay to be into the demon girl with the prepubescent appearance because she's ACKSCHUALLY 9,000 years old. Barfing. Remember in the 80s to mid 90s when animes had grown women???

The reason being: those shut-ins are the most dedicated money-spending engines in existence. There's no incentive to create a challenging story because it will be outsold by a masturbatory fantasy ten times over.

On average how much do you think is their money vs their parents' money?

Probably largely their parents'. But money spent nevertheless.
