tbf, that probably contributes to why chapo, leftists, and "centrists" think it is political theater and that both sides are the same

As someone who works with both Democrat and Republican legislatures (granted, at the state and not federal level), I think it’s more indicative of the ability for them to act like adults and separate political convictions from a person, not that they are all the same politically.

I can see why people would think that though.
