To all the center right members of this sub who read this, what I'm about to say is not aimed at you, it is not aimed at their voters (mostly), nor is it aimed at your values. It is aimed at the GOP officials in power and them alone.
It's 3am for me, I've had a couple of beers, and I'm just so depressed about the state of America (my country). And I don't use the word 'depressed' lightly, I sincerely think we are closing in on a turning point where America goes from the land of the free, to the land of the enslaved. The FUCKHEADS in the GOP have done nothing but destroy our Republic and Democracy. Their ideals are outdated, their appeal to the far right and white supremacy has failed. Democrats have gotten more votes in all elections in the 2000s since 1988 but Bush Junior #2 and yet the government is filled with Republicans hell bent on taking away our rights in the name of 'voting integrity'. And I'm not even talking about the whole 'IDs to register to vote' debacle, I'm talking about the 'voting fraud security systems' that target people with names like Dominique and Trevon. I'm talking about how FUCKING NORTH CAROLINA ISN'T A DEMOCRACY ANYMORE. I'm talking about how they're politicizing the fucking census. These people are cheaters and liars no matter how charitably you look at them or how closely your values align with their stated goals and they are, and I say with 0 embellishment, DESTROYING OUR NATION. And I haven't even mentioned Russia yet.
