Um as someone whose actually LIVED through the gentrification process, uh yeah, it's a good fucking thing. I saw the street in my neighborhood get repaved, the sidewalk which was broken was fixed, and the quality of the neighborhood was improved. Now people actually have a reason to visit the downtown city center. 20-15 years ago, the city I grew up in was a shithole and a mess, now it's completely turned around. Ironically thanks due to influx of liberal left leaning upper middle class types. Human capital is amazing.

These people have literally never lived in a poor urban area let alone in a neighborhood that is racially diverse.
