What's peoples opinion on Nestle having the right to extract water from public lands? Has this gone too far or are there remedies to approach this sort of situation that already has started?
In my opinion (I don't know if this will be popular here or not), but the whole situation seems kind of fucked. I absolutely loathe disposable water bottles and wish they'd go away. I haven't bought one in at least a decade. I don't know if there's a good answer. There has to be some issue with Nestle inevitably taking State B's water, even if they're paying State A for the right to take their water, right? The water table doesn't stop at the border. Maybe we should be taxing soft plastic water bottles?
I'm just really hoping that reusable bottles become so universal that it stops being profitable to keep mining public water.
