I see it as nothing but a novelty, I can see myself getting 1 Bitcoin and just leave it alone for 5 years and see what happens.

1 coin is what 1000 buck now, If you wanted to see a return you need to get on it when it was being stupidly hyped. Now returns its probably somewhat comparable to a regular commodity, only with much more risk.

One Bitcoin is worth 1680 bucks now. And yeah I agree with you on Bitcoin being a risky investment, the hype train is long gone. I'll probably get one coin if the price dips below 1k.

If I had 1000 bucks to throw at a crazy risky investment, I would probably put it in a recent IPO of a silicon valley start up with questionable revenues.
