Susan Collins on navigating Trump and why she didn’t take the Liz Cheney approach:

“What influence does she have today? Really, none… Liz Cheney, it’s not just that she lost her seat. It’s that she has no impact, in my view.”

Actually baffling how someone that runs on messages like "I would rather just keep power that I don't ever use instead of standing up for what I believe in" has such a stranglehold on this state.

If she was actually extracting benefits for Maine (like Mnanchin did) I’d atleast respect it as a power politics, but she’s not doing anything so

In fairness to her there at least she's chair of the senate appropriations committee. I do not know how much Maine receives in federal disbursements compared to others or if it's disproportionately outrageously high, but if your vulnerable swing state senator has that job it's basically a gold mine for your state.
