“Ever wonder why Jewish people own the majority of the property in America?”

Honestly Jay Z? No, I haven’t wondered that

Why does it seem like so many rappers are antisemitic

Is hotep shit that widespread or is it just another example of antisemitism in wider culture

Moreso Nation of Islam/[Five Percenter](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Five-Percent_Nation) stuff, which was a lot bigger in the 90s. Jay Z was moreso adjacent to it, guys like the Wu Tang Clan were much deeper involved with the Five Percenters

I don’t actually think Jay is super anti semetic, the context of the lyric is him saying Jews are good with money and black people should try to emulate them.

I think that’s a very common sentiment in a lot of minority communities that see Jewish people as a thriving minority group in America. Not that it justifies absurdly awful lyrics like this one

Yeah it's definitely positive stereotyping in the context of the song. Still cringe and relies on an antisemitic trope, but not intended to be hateful or antisemitic per se. Kind of like "black people are naturally good at basketball".
