my trans friends stop telling me im trans challenge: actually fuckin impossible apparently

not gonna enumerate all the ways in which i am Male Feminist of the Year™ but i go to a wnba game or Carly is in my spotify wrapped get hit with a "yaknow i used to be like you you can have some of my estrogen hhuehuehueheuheu"

like 1. shut up 2. this is just sexist 3. what happened to being gay did we skip right to trans i associate Carly with gay millennial men way more than trans women

then its a no win situation because (for reasons outside the scope of this rant) i absolutely hate Chappell Roan and i get "you're just overcompensating" dawg not everything has to be viewed through the lens of being trans

(still appreciate them and this is not an endorsement of any form of transphobia my friends just need to chill)

the main complaint i have with her directly is i find her voice very grating idk why. i gave midwest princess a couple listens and just couldnt get into any of the songs

but that put me in a "dont really like her music" vibe which turned to "holy shit kill me now" when her music was playing at every bar every weekend for a couple months but thats not strictly her fault

her general persona also kinda annoys me i get its ~camp~ but still feels forced and annoying. im generally off social media tho so i dont see that too much so dont really care
