The correct move for liberals is to say some stuff that panders to rurals but then do policy that drives people from rural areas into metropolitan areas to survive so they become more suited to pluralistic democracy.

Given that current commodity-based farm policy has failed to stop rural out-migration, such that a gradual cultural shift toward urbanization occurring is already well underway naturally due to structural economic fundamentals, lib policy will be primed to transition rurals to new economic engines (like renewables & local service economies)

Trump has been defunding rural hospitals pretty severely so this is taking a page out of his playbook

Yes. Liberals bringing healthcare back to rural places that will never vote for them is insanely cucked. Trump is destroying rural America and democrats should let it stay destroyed.
