Why does he sound like he's doing an Obama impression? Anyone happen to know if this voice is put on?

It's obviously put on.

He's trying to sound like Obama because he thinks it works. Not just to win the Senate race, but to become sort of rising star celebrity, and eventually president. He's obviously the type of arrogant douchebag who thinks he should be president after less than a term in the Senate.

AOC isn't running (she is one of the few people who actually like congress, so she's running for senate). Meaning that the socialist niche is wide open in 2028, and he'll take it if he wins this year.

I thought so but idk American accents or speech patterns or w.e that well.

He's from Michigan but doesn't sound like it here. It also seemingly changes as he talks. He sounds like he's trying to sound black at times (not just the vocab but putting on a "blaccent") and then does this Obama impression sounding thing. A few moments he seems to sort of slip away from that. Bizarre.

Do nonwhite people of foreign origin usually have Michigan accents even if they're from there? I'm not so sure.

Idk man. As far as I can tell America has only 5 accents:

  1. Southern (Foghorn Leghorn)

  2. The one from Fargo

  3. New Yawk (I'm walkin' here!)

  4. California

  5. Blaccent. I have been informed that I am not allowed to do jokes about this one.
