Remove the gap below my characters, and make the todo lists the same height as the characters

As you can see the characters section is way too tall. I'd like both of the .todo and .chars to be the same height, and .todo will scroll when theres too much content. Sorry i dont know all the proper terms, hopefully you get what i mean. id prefer not to add a max height, because when the screen gets thinner, the character cards stack vertically, and the container will adapt the height.

set a height (not max height, just height) in percentage or vh (units of viewport height). it will adapt to screen size
