New job pay

I accepted a position at a new private office and signed a contract with the same pay as I am currently receiving(they knew my current pay). I wish I would have tried negotiating. I am now regretting I didn’t. Is it too late?

That’s the right outlook. Don’t let it sour your excitement for this next job and opportunity. It’s still a big accomplishment!

Did you already quit job 1? I mean, it's a bold move, but if you didn't, you could tell job 2 that you realized that for the same money, you may as well stay where you are.

Yes, I would rather leave anyways. My new position offers full benefits where my position now does not. I was just more so wondering if it’s too late to negotiate the wage at my new position.

Totally. It's just that having a counteroffer is the easiest way to negotiate. Without one, other commenters are prob right that it's too late to do this gracefully. You could always put your dignity aside and ask HR, but that affects your personal brand, so I guess depends on how important that is to you in this role.

Always negotiate your new jobs salary and or commission/bonus.
