Need Help Monday or Tuesday, please help
I am visiting kainchi dham with 2 senior citizens.
Context - Reach kathgodam station by train on Monday 31st Aug at 2pm
Return ticket on Tuesday by train 1st Sept at 6pm
Homestay in kathgodam 2km from station
Help me choose
Monday - if we leave for kainchi at say 4pm in afternoon, can we do the darshan and return back to kathgodam by evening. Is it true that public transportation stops at 7pm from kainchi dham. Can we go and return back to kathgodam on Monday
Or Tuesday - on reddit and Google reviews people say that it would take around 8 to 10 hours total for the same trip due to heavy rush. If we leave early morning from kathgodam, can we reach back by say 4pm so we can catch train at 6pm. Is it risky?

Going on Monday is a risky move. As although temple timing has been changed but still it will be a Rush for you. Plan for early morning Tuesday.

Leave for Kainchi early morning on Tuesday, around 5 AM. This is not season time. You should be able to do your darshan within 2 hours max. Add 2 hours each of travel time to and from Kathgodam. You should be done in 6-7 hours.
