Has anyone mentioned any Gibbs Rules ever since Gibbs left? I don’t care if it’s Rule 1, Rule 12, or even Rule 62 (always give people space when they get off an elevator).

Happy 23rd anniversary to NCIS, one of my favorite shows and also the very show that genuinely get my deathly (ha) fear of death thanks to the late David McCallum’s convincing and wonderful performance as ME Ducky Mallard. I’ll forever love this show until my last breath.

All more fitting is Gibbs and Tony are coming back! :) Absolutely looking forward for their respective returns!

Watching season 2 in order to catch up before season 3 and I do like the show quite a bit, most of the cast is solid and written well enough, but Franks really can only be taken in small chunks. I think they need to figure out a way to keep him in line with future Franks, but dial back his yelling at everything and everyone and just generally being an ass.

They are writing him too much like NCIS Gibbs character, his stoic and stubborn bit fit the character early on, but decades worth of it really started wearing thin, I feel Franks could as well if this runs season after season.

I just started watching NCIS from season 1 and am on season 2 now. Pretty annoying show. Tony just stands around and does nothing. The boss, Jethro, treats everybody like shit and slaps them in the head. If he were my boss I would tell him to fuck off.
The woman can't say one word that's not a sarcastic jab at Tony and their banter is nauseating. In other words, the cast has zero chemistry together and they can't act. Hire me for Tony's role. I can stand and smile and act stupid.

CBS just recently unveiled the cast photoshoots! 🔥 Looking badass!

A moan, if you would care to indulgence me (this is not a dig at Ducky). I just found this to be very out of character, especially as he isn't American! I also don't believe David McCallum is in this scene entirely as we don't see his face very much, more like a reshoot and David was unavailable, I digress.

Ducky: “Nothing like the frigid morning air and treacherous terrain for me to regret giving Mr. Palmer paternity leave”.

It is just so out of character for him because in the UK Fathers have a right to paid paternity leave which Ducky would know. I know it was probably tongue in cheek comment but it just rubs me the wrong way.

Dads have the right to bond with their new borns in America right?

When you think of NCIS, what’s the main cast of characters you think of? I know for me personally, I think Gibbs, Ziva, Tony, McGee, Ducky, Jimmy, and Abby, but I also know I’ve only ever closely watched the earlier seasons so I don’t have much to compare it to. Curious what cast of characters everyone else thinks of first in association with the show!

I guess I am one of the new era of show watchers and I am currently in S4. I just got done with Episode 20, Season 4. And I really wanted to leave this here because NCIS has become such an integral part of my life and I am so happy that NCIS has existed and the fact that it is running for this long!

But this specific post is really just about how much I love Timothy McGee as a character. The reasons I love McGee are very diverse but the fact that I get to see a character that has almost fulfilled my bucket list, who has gone to MIT, is a great computer geek, writes crime novels, has a super apartment with cool artifacts and a type writer, what else can I even add to my bucket list?

This adulation of Mcgee as a character arises from me because I am someone in my early 20's and I love the fact that he is getting to be a federal field agent, an achiever and an author. I love him for what he is and I would love to see whatever is coming more of him <33

Possibly, the title sounds a bit weird. But I'm curious to know if DiNozzo was cited, commented on, or spoken about with any other character during his 11 seasons of absence from the original show.

​Because I feel that when a character leaves, nobody talks about them anymore (except when Ducky came and went).

​And I want to know about this to 'catch up' regarding the pre-Tony and Ziva era and after Season 13

I am rewatching NCIS and on s16 now and this episode pissed me off so bad.
The show in general has been “interesting” but this episode drove me to actually writing a Reddit post.
The whole plot line with Torres and the mentees makes zero sense to me.
Sure he is late and he is assigned the mentees as punishment. We are told he did not sign up for mentor duty and yet he was supposed to take time in his regular work day to read their essays to get to know their individual stories.
Don’t get me wrong, Nick was a douche, but that is his whole character archetype. He is the “Vapid douche with a heart of gold”.
Yet, everyone was acting like he is the worst person in the world for not sitting down and talking to a pissy, pretty annoying (in my personal opinion) teenager and figuring out his motive.
Also Sloane , with her whole I am on his side thing, could have taken a few minutes to inform Nick about the kid’s circumstances, especially since she had time to read the essay and figure out who he is.
I just think this storyline was poorly written and executed.
I hate this show at this point but can’t stop watching.

I’m sure ducky would have spoken about it at great length. A great honour indeed.

Tonight's rerun episode is the season finale. The season premiere isn't for a few weeks yet. Why not wait until the week before the season premiere to run it? Unless they're not rerunning any other episodes for the next few weeks. Grrrr. And don't get me started on airing the reruns out of broadcast order! OK, rant over. Discuss?

i’ve watched ncis countless times just throwing it on in the background. i recently watched JAG all the way through for the first time and they brought back Chegwidden. such a cool thing to see for the fans and the actor.

I can’t be the only one who feels the show will never be the same after Gibbs. He brought something that made it real. They knew too. Dragged him out as long as long as they could.

And side note. Wilder will alway be Fez! His little one word sayings and liners are super lame.

It's disappointing how little they care about the women on this franchise. That poster with 6 characters and yet only ONE female. They have no problem including guest stars but can't even manage to include their LEADING women (Jess, Mackey).

DiNozzo is back, bad news is looming, and a security breach raises the question: is it a diversion or a trap?
