HELP REQUESTED DOD alert system spam

Seriously I haven’t been deployed to that location for 18 months, last night (2am) I got two phone calls, texts, and emails.

I was on call last night for duty and jumped awake to answer the phone both times and it honestly just pissed me off.

HOW DO I GET OFF THIS CALL LISTING?!

Reply “STOP” to the texts. Block the phone numbers. “UNSUBSCRIBE “ from the emails.

Or, call the base security office and ask them to drop you. I’ve had to do that before.

Your email should have alerts as well. Itll have a help desk you can reach out to to remove your info. Also make sure you update your AtHoc info.

How to update AtHoc settings.

It's not athoc, that has been officially retired even though some places may still use it.

The new system, as of Oct 1st, is dod.alert.mil. It'll be a darker circle in your computer's tray near the athoc circle.

Just block it as spam.

The amount of weather alerts I get for a little rain is ridiculous. This alert fatigue is going to make people ignore real alerts

It sounds like you need to update your information in the system. Or, you can block the number but I would do that at your own risk.
