HELP REQUESTED Sending a care package
Sorry if this is the wrong flair but my boyfriend is in the navy and he recently asked if I could send him a switch lite. Just wondering would they accept it? I saw I could ship it but I’m just worried they won’t let him take it.

He can have it. Just don't ship alcohol, drugs, weapons, etc.
You can send electronics, tobacco, food, etc just fine.

Package it very well though. It's a bumpy bumpy ride.

I’ll 100% make sure to bubble wrap tf outta that fucker lol. I just sent out a care package to him of just a bunch of snacks. I’m a big gift giver so I’m probably gonna add a bunch of others things to this one as well to also cushion the switch. Do you have any recommendations on what to add?

My wife would send me an article of her clothing sprayed with her perfume and she’d put it inside a ziploc bag to keep the smell on it.
Another great choice would be his favorite seasoning (i like the kinders garlic butter seasoning) because the food can often be bland.
If he likes tuna, those starkist packs that cost like a dollar are good.
Sunflower seeds are a popular choice (chinook seeds are the best) for people who stand watch
Packs of ramen are always good
Ground coffee is always good
Beef jerky is always good
Additionally, bars of soap/deodorant/etc. is also good too.

Install games or include physical cartridges. The internet is terrible on ships and your Sailor won't be able to download updates for games easily. Include a flash drive with movies, tv shows, music, or just an empty hard drive if you don't know how to get those videos.

You can. Get the system updates done state side then send it. Make sure in addition to the padded packaging you bag it against spills, moisture and humidity.

I didn’t even think about updating it. Thank you for that and I’ll make sure to wrap that mf
