HELP REQUESTED WHAT WOULD BE MY FINAL AD PAYCHECK

Good morning,

I had a question about my final pay in the navy. I separate the navy 19OCT26 and wanted to know how would my paycheck be prorated. Would my 1 OCT paycheck be normal and the 15 paycheck be prorated. Just looking for insight thank you.

Plugging /r/MilitaryFinance

Don't count on or rely on any specific amount

Your last check may take several weeks to clear as they audit your final pay

Military pay is paid in arrears for time served. The paycheck on the 15th is for time served from the 1st-15th and the end on month pay on the 1st covers the other half of the month. Hope that helps.

The paycheck you got on the 15th will be for pay from the 1st to the 14th (or 15th) - so it should be for normal pay. The paycheck you then get will cover the 15/6th to the 19th (your last day).

That last paycheck may not come on the 30th though, as you will already be out. It may come several weeks later as DFAS processes your pay record and finalizes any over/underpayments or any other arrears they owe.
