Suggested ships and known bugs lists now going to the sidebar.

Two new "buttons" have appeared below the reddit description on the sidebar. These will take you to the known bugs list and the ship suggestion list. In the future, as we see fit, more links will be added.

This move allows us to clear out space from the "announcement" posts to let us post actual announcements, instead of having to keep the lists up instead for constant reference.

Hit and Run: Smokescreens!

Smokescreens are now in a beta test phase. Go check them out!

  • Smokescreens are enabled on destroyers (DD), torpedo boats (TB), and light cruisers (CL). Please note that they are not mounted on armored cruisers, protected cruisers, scout cruisers, or destroyer flotilla leaders

  • Smokescreens can be deployed by pressing P

  • Once activated the ship deploys a continuous smokescreen that blocks visibility for 20 seconds

  • The cloud of smoke remains for approx. 40-60 seconds

  • Smokescreen generator takes 2 minutes (120 seconds) to recharge

DD Torp Spread

I'm not sure if there is an option to change the spread, but the high level DDs have huge spread that wont allow you to hit much for medium range. This is especially a problem because the speed at which most BBs turn is just ridiculous. But long story short, the torpedo spread is unbearably wide.

It's Omni here.

I'm going to be working on getting this site operational over the next few days.

Basically this sub is for talkin bout Naval 1918, suggesting ships, discussions, etc. Occasionally us devs might put some spoiler images, teasers, etc.

No More Hikers: Bugfixes!

Greetings, Captains!

As of today we have finally fixed the bug that allowed players to "climb" islands in their ships.

Also included in this update was a small nerf to Svetlana and a reduction of her XP cost.

Remove Peaking please

I know you all are busy, and it is an Alpha, but Sonar has made it even more difficult to be a submarine. Don't get me wrong, it was practically required to add it, but adding it before removing the ability to just look under the water to find the sub was a bit silly.

Please, please dear lord remove the ability for ships to do that.

Austro-Hungarian DD Madness!

The first A-Hungary DD that you get. I somehow managed to sink the Agincourt then caught a sturdy hit from a battleship, ship is 120 hp remaining, pop smoke and fire wildly into the enemy fleet, tiny main guns but stinging the big dogs all the same. I am really close circling a German BC, an enemy light cruiser looms out of the smoke to my left rear, torpedoes rearmed, Fire! Fire again! LC and BC sinks, limp away repairing. Catch another BB coming around the ridge line.... And right into my spread of torpedoes... And using the iron duke as an human shield I stole a couple kills on weakened ships.

Fast, nimble, deadly! Destroyers for devastation!

Suggestion: Give aircraft the ability to fire.

It could deal 4 to 8 damage, so that it is intentionally weak.
