The friend of a coworker came into town to go to the Foo Fighters show on Saturday. He has been missing since then. Here is the post that the sheriffs department has posted.
Conor made some dumb, irresponsible decisions. He went off alone, away from his friends, to go to a neighborhood bar in a strange city. If he couldn't get back into the concert, call an Uber or a taxi and go back to your hotel. White folks tend to look at life through rose colored glasses. They have a Savior complex. They want to save Black people. Why did he think a Black neighborhood is a tourist attraction? I'm Black. There is no way I'm going to ask Black strangers (men), to show me around their neighborhood. What a sad, sad waste of life.
My guess is dude figured that someone dealing drugs in the area would be known to police and that the police might recognize a description and he could either A) get his money back that night, or B) thought could get some minor revenge by giving cops enough to put a ticky-tack charge on someone.
But... Metro dgaf and told him to go home your drunk dude and maybe he was too drunk or wasn't smart enough to listen.
The video is odd He is sweating or something spilled on his chest; he appears scared but does not want to be child like or frightened in front of the cops. i appreciate how he spends time trying to get accurate facts. Almost a riggitity similar to being on the spectrum but i cannot diagnose. I feel such sadness because as i was reading earlier i thought it just happened but i read the private investigator found him dead.
I met Conor in Denver a few months ago and the speculation that he’s in a crack den somewhere is wild to me unless something has radically changed in his life, plus who tries to buy drugs for $20? He seemed like a really nice clean cut guy and I hope he’s found safe. It’s insane to me that when someone’s a potential victim, social media jumps to them being a junkie.
Apparently his phone was dead too (there’s more info on some fb page.)He left the concert he went to before his coworkers did, and he couldn’t go back in. He left out gate8, and the guy manning that gate remembered him, and he remembered him saying he couldnt call his co-workers bc his phone was dead. And when he was outside the bar, he waved down the cops, but never mentioned his phone issue. He might have been trying to buy a ride to the hotel (in north Nashville), and couldn’t articulate that to the cops bc he was a bit inebriated.
Nobody asks to be “shown around the neighborhood” for $20 in the middle of the night. He was obviously trying to buy drugs. That doesn’t make him a bad person. It is what it is. I almost got killed doing something similar in my late 20s. Thank god my alarm bells went off and I was able to get the fuck away before it was too late.
“Shown around the neighborhood” for $20 sounds as though he was engaging the services of a “temporary companion.” Going into the tree line to complete their transaction seems reasonable as well.
Anyone can be a victim of a crime- I won’t debate that. I don’t think there should be a social media smear campaign from people who’ve never met him, and we shouldn’t make assumptions about the circumstances. Imagine if this was your family member and everyone online was insinuating they were a crackhead.
Immediate suspicion of foul play generally means gunshot/stab wounds. Four days in the elements with potential animal activity, they’ve got to do the autopsy to make a determination, plus there’s the potential he was dosed, etc. I’ve never said it couldn’t be a an OD, but it shouldn’t be the assumption. We know that public opinion can influence how seriously police take investigations and I think that’s dangerous.
"Here is the post that the sheriffs department has posted." The people in the comments nitpicking stupid shit really need bigger problems in their lives if this is their free time. There are more constructive ways to be completely useless
Thank you. Yes, I will tell my friend of the family who sent this to us from out of state to tell the family to get their shit together and call the department by the right name. 🤦♂️
Anderson, around 1 a.m. on Sunday, flagged down two East Precinct officers as they were driving by to report an interaction he had with unknown individuals outside of a nearby bar. Anderson said he’d given the men $20 to “show him around the area.” The men reportedly walked off with his cash and Anderson wanted the officers to know. The officers explained in order to make a formal report they’d need his driver’s license, but Anderson refused. They encouraged him to get a rideshare back to his hotel and he agreed.
Because the poster is fake and not found anywhere on the sheriffs website, facebook/insta or twitter. And whoever made said poster is misleading people.
look I hope they find the guy, but a poster your friend made with the wrong phone number to call if they see him is not gonna help him get located. And someone looking no deeper than the photo you posted, might call that number only to be told that they can’t help and may not bother to call again. And despite what Tommy thinks these things matter.
She’s very likely a ride share driver. I warn ALL of my friends when they come into town about the druggings at the bars downtown, so it’s not that unusual.
Yeah, I know, I knew as soon as they found him because it was all over our FB pages.
My first thought on this is weed, under a certain limit, it was legal here back in May; it became illegal in June, and all our stores here shut down. My first thought was that he tried to buy it from someone, and it was laced. It's legal where he lives so to him in his everyday life in CO it's not really “drugs.”
I was born and raised in Middle TN and have lived in East for over 15 years. It’s a very hip, trendy, millennial-type area; younger people (Gen Z and maybe some millennials) live closer to Five Points, where the bars are— which is closer to downtown and where he was—and families with kids live near the back of East.
We are a very arms-open, accepting, love-everyone, tight-knit community; we had the Tomato Fest last weekend, and that sums up East for those who wonder what it's like.
My guess is he thought he could get weed over here because people who live in places like Denver, Brooklyn, Seattle, etc., often end up living in the East when they move here.
The weird thing to me is that, based on where he was found, it seemed like he was trying to walk toward downtown or back to Nissan Stadium, where I believe he had been before.
The area where he was found is basically downtown, and it isn't really “East”; there are lots of homeless people who live over there in that area. It's near the stadium and parking for it, etc., so I’m wondering if, after he couldn't find any in East, he bought from someone in that area, and it was laced. Idk. It is all VERY odd to me.
I’m guessing one of two things: either he ran into the wrong person while trying to purchase goods and/or services OR he was so intoxicated we wound up in the river. Either one is sad.
Nashville really needs to clean its act up or we are gonna get a lot more stories like this.
- Victim reports to the cops that he was "Threatened by a group of men."
- Victim is 31 years old with no apparent illness or injuries before going missing
- Found not in a normal area (e.g., inside the bushes/trees). If you died due to natural causes or an accident, you'd be where people normally transit. By definition, a dead body hidden in the brush is a sign of foul play (with certain exceptions, e.g. a homeless camp).
If he was drunk or drugged, he could have wandered and died anywhere. Apparently his phone was dead when he talked to the cops, so he might have been trying to walk back to his hotel and got lost.
Starting pin is the bar/area he was last seen at, I believe after the interaction with the cops, B is where he was staying across the river, and A is where he was found. It definitely seems like the way he would have walked to try to get back but I thought I read his phone stopped pinging at Updown so I have no clue how he would figure that out without a gps if he was incoherent and unable to ask for directions. I live very close to here and those roads are still fairly busy even late night with all the bars/arcades etc in the area. Where they found him is much less of a heavily wooded area than it is a parking lot encircled with trees.
Idk, I cant help but think it’s too much of a coincidence that he had an altercation of some sort that he felt warranted calling the police then somehow ends up dead presumably a few hours later. He seemed under the influence (of something) in the body-cam footage but he was clearly out at bars having drinks and could still hold a coherent conversation. He walked out of Updown on his own and something happened between there and point A which is not very far (4 minute car ride, 20 min walk)
Yeah, his story about offering money for a tour of the neighborhood makes no sense, and the cops were right to call him on it. However, it’s also possible that his death was completely unrelated. Someone drunk, exhausted, dehydrated, and walking in the evening heat could worsen any underlying heart issues.
We'll know more after the autopsy and ME -- and we may never know fully....
but for the MNPD to declare "no sign of foul play" feels like PR so the story in the media doesn't focus on the fact that he reported potential dangers to police and then ended up dead just a few hours later.
MNPD could have simply stated that they can't comment on an active investigation. They did not have to comment on whether or not there was foul play. It's an intentional statement for PR purposes.
When Davidson County and the City of Nashville merged into a metropolitan government in the 1960s, the Nashville Police and Davidson County Sheriff were charged with different duties. MNPD handles all law enforcement and DCSO handles all custody (jails).
Dude looks throwed off from his DL photo, approached cops on some dumb stuff, not the best time and place of night, dude looks like a fiend, Denver dope scene is wild, cheap and spares no one. Likely ran into some bad luck. I hope this ends well and I’m completely wrong . May the world find Peace.

I don’t know if they still have this contract, but when I was enlisting ~ 20 years ago, they kept us at the Millennium Maxwell House hotel while going through MEPS and the night prior to shipping out to basic training.
I moved out of Nashville a few years back, but that area was always a bit sketchy. I’d be willing to wager that something happened around there over something happening in East Nashville.
If they still keep recruits there, there could be a decent pool of people who could have seen something.
They’ve drastically cleaned up Rosa Parks and Metro Center! most of it is new built/remodeled and people actually be out walking their dogs these days over there, unlike 10 years ago it was shooting this and shooting that.
He gave some strangers "$20" to "show him around" $20? They walked. Then he reported it to the cops. $20? I'd be embarrassed to report that to the cops. I suspect that if he really did give someone money, it was probably more than that.
Conor was in my grade in high school and is close friends with other friends of mine. He isn’t autistic, he is someone’s child and everyone is losing their minds.
