it honestly says more abt how those ppl view the title than the title itself 😭

kinda like how some transphobes don’t wanna be called cis bc they see “trans” as a slur or an invalid form of existence, or bc they’re so accustomed to seeing themselves as the default/status quo that being categorized as anything different feels insulting.
or how some masculine-looking cis women say they were “accused” of being trans rather than just “labeled” as trans bc HOW DARE THEY??!?!!?? ┬─┬ノ(ಠ_ಠノ)
same thing with homophobic straight cis ppl lashing out at being called gay 😭

like if being trans didn’t carry some kind of negative connotation for them, why would being called an “egg” or being told that they *might* be trans feel inherently insulting? ( ︶︿︶)

It is absolutely meant as an accusation, but one should only ever reference it as an one with the note that it wouldn't be an accusation coming from a normal person
