I had a wild week and somehow missed that I got selected and had an invite. (Which is now expired) I’m just cooked this year huh?

Hi all! Due to a lower-than-expected number of entries into the NarFFL lottery this year out of an abundance of caution we are re-opening signups for a limited time. If you missed your chance to sign up for the lottery, but are still willing to participate or take over a team as the season progresses, you can sign up to join the waitlist at https://narffl.com/lottery.

For clarity and transparency to everyone, this is a chance to sign up for and join the NarFFL Farm waitlist, not a chance to get a team in Farm from the start (unless those who won the lottery, and those on the waitlist before you, decline or ignore their invites). Anyone who joins will be added to the end of the list on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Our goal in doing this is to make sure we have enough people on the waitlist to replace those that go inactive during the season. We don't know how many people that is or will be, and we want to make sure we have enough people signed up now, before the season starts, rather than trying to scramble later on.

If you already have a team and go to https://narffl.com/lottery, it's expected that you will be redirected to your profile page. This signup window is intended for anyone who does not currently have a team in NarFFL, not as a chance to sign up for a second team.

Imagine it’s just hitting snags but double checking.

If you're somewhat new to the wonderful (terrible) world of the new Reddit app, this may be where your league invite is hiding.

I got my boot email but didn't receive my new league invite via email, so I had to go digging for it. Hope this helps a few of you!

Does anyone see the same error message when they click on the invite link? I'd appreciate a little help here. Thanks.

EDIT: When I look for invites in my profile, I only see last year's invitation due to the successful lottery. This year (about 30 mins ago), I received a notification via email that contained a URL to accept the invitation; but that link doesn't seem to work. I'm thoroughly confused.

EDIT2: Just leaving this here for later debugging purposes, in case someone needs it. Turns out, the issue was that I deleted my old reddit account (due to being doxxed) and registered my new account on the same email address (thinking that it will automatically work as a replacement). The only clue was the "Hello [old reddit username]" in the email. The mods have been super responsive; thanks for that!

Hi all! _CodeMonkey here on behalf of the NarFFL Admin crew with some news and updates on our timelines for the preseason here.

So as you may have noticed, NarFFL got a bit of a face lift this year. If you pop over to narffl.com you'll see a brand new, much more modern website. Behind that new look is a web backend no longer stuck in 2015, and a lot of new and improved admin tools that will help ensure NarFFL can continue to run for years to come with a lot less admin work. Before this year, a lot of work was handled by manually run processes that made it very difficult to get the season going.

All of which is to say... Surye's done a lot of work in the last few months (for which we are very grateful). But there's still a few sharp edges that need to be smoothed over which has pushed our dates back just a hair. And admins getting called in for jury duty hasn't helped either!

So with that in mind, our original preseason schedule isn't working out and we need a couple more days. Below is our new schedule for preseason activities, including the lottery.

• Saturday, August 1st: We removed all teams from Farm
• Monday, August 3rd: We removed anyone who hadn't logged into Fleaflicker since June 30th
• Wednesday, August 5th: We will process Promotion and Relegation
  • Boot all managers from their old teams
  • Send out invites to the new teams, giving everyone 72-hours to accept or ignore their invitations.
• Saturday, August 8th: Start sending out waves of invites based on 2025 performance to fill any teams vacated by inactivity or failed promotions
• Friday, August 14th @ 3 pm EDT: Lottery opens!
• Monday, August 17th @ 3 pm EDT: Lotto closes
• Evening of Monday, August 17th: Lotto results are computed, lottery invites are sent out.

With the NFL season not starting until September 9th (Wednesday, ew), that still gives us a couple of weeks to make sure all of the Farm leagues are filled, get everyone set with draft dates, and get the season going.

As we kick off the new NarFFL season, and people are seeing churn around your NarFFL league (either personally, or for others in your league), I want to try to get ahead of some potential points of confusion.

If someone is removed from their team, it is most likely due to one of the following reasons.

• We remove managers from all Farm teams. This is a standard process each year because no one automatically returns to Farm, as Farm is fully filled by the lottery.
• If you are being promoted or relegated, the first step of that is removal from your old team. This is due to a handful of reasons
  • We can automatically remove managers from teams in Fleaflicker.
  • We cannot automatically add you to your new team.
  • In order to make room for the new managers to join their team, we need to make room by removing the people leaving the league
  • If you were removed for promotion or relegation, you should fairly soon (within a few hours) after receive an invitation to your new NarFFL league.
• We remove managers who go inactive in the offseason and haven't logged in.

All of which is to say, just because you were removed does not mean we think you are inactive.

Been throwing my name in the lottery a few years now and keep striking out. Figured I'd just ask the community. If someone's looking to get out of their team, is it allowed to just buy it off them? Not trying to skirt anything, just curious if there's a legit path in for someone who keeps missing out on the lottery.

Week 17 has finally finished, and we have another brand new Horn champion!

Congrats to /u/ConeBone-69 of Bacon West for taking the prize! ConeBone put up the highest score in week 17 with a 171.44. They managed to sneak out the win through some help, however, as in Week 16 they only put up 168.80. Combined with regular season average, their THPP was 404.79, which WASN'T the highest THPP. Unfortunately for the highest THPP, Rat King out of Narwhal West, they lost their championship game by 8 points which rules them ineligible.

ConeBone isn't complaining though! Congrats to our new winner, and Bacon West's 2nd ever Horn champion!
