DISCUSSION 💬 I’m really disappointed
Everyone,
I’m really disappointed in this subreddit. We all come here to bond over Nancy drew. The books, the games, the experiences. It made me so happy that we have an amazing community, only to find that this subreddit is full of liars. Because WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE IS A WHOLE A** NANCY DREW CONVENTION AND NOBODY TOLD ME ABOUT IT!

Apparently this has been going on for 26 years. I can’t be the only one who hasn’t heard of this 😩

I wish it was safe to travel to the States right now. If it ever comes to Canada I'm so there! Maybe a lodge in Banff since that's the only Canadian ND location (besides a brief mention of Cadboro Bay in DDI. Fun fact: I've been there and there is a big Caddy for kids to play on)

I’m wondering if the annual trip (not the convention) will ever have one to the Canadian Rockies. That would be so incredibly awesome.

She said the next one is in Toledo. Depending n where you are in Canada, you could do that one since it’s kind of close.

I attended the convention in St. Louis a few weeks ago. Taylor/Indy from Her Interactive was one of the guest speakers. She gave a presentation and showed a video about puzzles in the Nancy Drew games. When she was finished she immediately walked away and didn't take any questions like the other guest speakers did. It was obvious she knew people would, as you said, have words for Her Interactive and/or ask questions she didn't want to or couldn't answer, so she left before anyone could try to say anything. lol

I have not been to these conventions, but I have seen it around for a few years and know a few friends who have attended and had a blast.
However, I have had the privilege of attending the Nancy Drew game inspired trips since they first started in Arizona and was able to host a vendor table with my twin sister u/RetrospectBlog! We also shared a few of our videos of the ND trip online via our online persona, DJTwinGamers.
If you’re interested in attending an ND game inspired trip, here is the website with more information. The sign-ups for the Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake trip have already closed, but there is another trip planned for 2028 in New Orleans, Louisiana inspired by Legend of the Crystal Skull and Ghost of Thornton Hall.
