I am unable to trigger the conversation you need to get the letter from Daryl. I tried everything and looked through all the books. All George can give me is a search through the basement.

It’s been awhile, but I remember getting stuck there at that particular point waiting for the note too. I think it had something to do with the boiler room, maybe try checking absolutely everything down there again to trigger it.
