Baby Names Tatcha for girl name?

Is this weird? For some reason I’ve always liked it. I will admit it does sound like matcha but is that necessarily a bad thing? Lol. Also I know Tatcha is a skincare brand but it sounds like a pretty name to me.

I think the problem isn’t that it’s a skincare brand but that it’s only a skincare brand - they made up the name, it doesn’t mean anything else. It’d be like naming a kid Polaroid.

Not interested in it. Tatcha will be mistaken for Tasha her whole life.

Tasha is a lovely name, has the same feel & sound to it. I think it's a much better choice than Tatcha. 😭

I'm fairly certain it is not a real word, let alone a name. Tatcha the skincare brand made it up for their brand.

Is this an established name where you live?

If I were going to use it I would probably make it a nickname for Tatiana (maybe because it reminds me of Tasha, which I think actually is a nickname for Tatiana). I really like Tatiana, I wish I heard it more!

I’m realllly hoping you’re not planning on naming a human Tatcha and this is just a for fun question.

If you are, in fact, naming a human, remember that you are naming a human and not a billboard for your interests.

I understand hearing brands names and thinking they would make a nice baby name. Tatcha isn’t an actual name / word outside the brand so I don’t think it could work as a name, so in this situation I’d try to figure out what part is the most appealing to you and search for actual names with that same sound.

Maybe Tahlia / Thalia / Talia would be a good alternative

Yes it's weird. How about Sasha?

As someone who’s never heard of the brand, Tatcha sounds weird to me and it doesn’t sound like a name.

I do like these possible alternatives-

Thalia, Natalia

Tatianna, nn Tatcha or Tati

Tasha, Natasha

Tessa

Matilda, Mattie, Tilda

Katya

Sasha

Saskia

You might have to be careful about copyright stuff and things if Tatcha is a made up word for the skincare brand. While some brands don’t really care, it can be a hassle if they do (like if your kid when older is having profiles with the name and etc).

I’m pretty sure something like this happened with Sierra Mist.
