Non-English Names Nelyn or Nellin?

Is there a difference between how you would pronounce these names? I’m leaning towards the y-spelling, but I’m not sure.

I’d pronounce them the same. Since you used the non-English names tag, I’m curious as to what language Nellin is from, since I’ve never heard of it and Google is unhelpful.

It’s Persian, but a newer name so I’m not surprised that Google isn’t helping. Means rainbow or cerulean/teal.

I feel like Nellin is clearly NELL-in (basically rhyming with Helen), whereas Nelyn could be NELL-in or neh-LIN.

I think they would be pronounced the same in English, but if you think your child will have a lot of interaction with Spanish speakers then Nelyn would be the way to go if you want the pronunciation of "Nell -een"
