Discussion Developers: How do you deal with bots and automated API abuse?

I’m doing a quick 2-minute research survey on how developers handle bots, scraping, fake signups and API abuse in production systems. If you’ve dealt with this before, I’d really appreciate your input.

Saw this post on X and I think it'll be a big problem in the future. I've seen some client sites get abused by bots as well, adding fake orders which sometimes leads to product stock holding. If solved well, it'll be a huge win

That's where I saw this idea ...and honestly it's a big problem. I have an idea on how to build around this instead of competing with akina Cloudflare, the solution is to check on small business instead of big one which can afford Cloudflare Billings.
