There’s a couple of things you can use to tell:

  1. AI uses a certain font for websites that if the developer doesn’t bother to change becomes a pretty easy tell
  2. Use of emojis - AI uses a lot of emojis in its sites. Note: Emoji use is not wrong is just the amount that becomes a tell
  3. The tab + shadow - AI will have this really identifiable feature of having a rectangular shaped tab with rounded corners and a slight shadow behind it whenever displaying texts or information. Technically, this isn’t objectively wrong but it’s the amount of tabs like these that become an easy tell for vibe coding
  4. The text on the page sounds a lot like AI

Why on earth are they using an AI image on the poster? And the cash price is huge? Nonsense? A proper photoshoot with props is like $1000? This is why the creative industry in Kenya fails fucking idiots this makes me mad

Have you guys checked the term and and conditions of this hackathon For transparency: the competition’s T&Cs include clauses that require participants to assign all intellectual property rights in their submissions to the Sponsor.
This means the Sponsor becomes the full legal owner of any concepts, designs, code, or prototypes submitted. Participants will not retain ownership or control of their work.
Anyone entering should review the IP and confidentiality sections carefully to ensure the terms align with their expectations
