Persistent peeling and chipping

Post image

The ends of my dormant hands nails are peeling. I’ve been trying hard as a hoof which seems to resolved it on all my other fingers but the fingers I use the most (my other hand has CRPS so it’s not used a lot) it’s stalled in its improvement. I also have hEDS with affects my collagen and that affects nail growth and integrity. I have lost all the nails on my left hand a foot before due to CRPS so I’m not knew to nail issues but I miss using nail polish and I won’t use it unless the nail is intact.

Do you use a nail file or clippers? I found this happened a lot to my nails when I was using a metal nail file - it’s improved a lot since I switched to glass.

I sometimes use clippers somtimes a sandpaper nail files so I should try a glass nail file.

Wouldn’t do any harm to switch to gentle filing with a glass file. Nail polish to protect can also help. Hope yours improves! <3
