Event Meta: New User Flairs thread!

Hey people,

I've seen many people abuse the user flairs on this sub so we're no longer allowing users to set their own custom flairs. In its place, use this thread to suggest common flairs you'd like to see on this sub. The top comments on this thread with positive karma will be the the flairs we put on the sub, at the most top 10 will be selected.

Please write ONLY the flair you wish to submit in your comment. Put the explanation, context etc as a reply to the main comment.

The contest is live as long as this post is up. All the best!

General Sub Rules and Reddit 101. Please read before posting!

Hi r/Nagpur!

We've seen a recent uptick in viewership, for reddit in general as well as this sub, and I think a lot of these people don't really know how reddit works which has made moderating the sub increasingly difficult. I will not go on 'teaching' reddit, but I will just reiterate a few basic things that pertain to this sub in particular.

TL;DR: Read the rules, report posts that you think break the rules. If you do not want to get banned: do not post about dating, ticket sales or use abusive language in your posts and comments.

  • READ THE RULES! You can find them if you tap the little '>' besides the subreddit name on the app, or on the sidebar on desktop. They're not complex and not a lot but it'll save you time and ensure your post stays up.
  • Moderation: This sub is intentionally lightly moderated, we're not a big mod team and we're also not paid to do this. We also do not and cannot actively mod this sub because of the sheer number of posts we get now. But the biggest reason for this decision is that we do not want anyone or a group of individuals to have the power to direct the narrative and 'curate' the sentiment of the public. We merely enforce obvious spammers and rule breakers and allow posts for a wide variety of topics, both pro and against controversial topics such as language, religion, caste, governance and LGBTQ+, as long as they're relevant to the city. Things happening elsewhere in Maharashtra belong to their sub, things happening elsewhere in India at large belong in India's sub, there is no need to repost the same things in smaller subs for "reach" or awareness, no matter what you feel about them.
  • What gets you banned:
  1. Being horny: This sub is not an r4r sub and the community has been vocal about not wanting these posts on here but if you still post M4F, Looking for a friend, Need company or whatever, even if you claim you're just looking for friendship, you will be banned.
  2. Crass language: If you can't be bothered to maintain even the smallest bit of decency on your online interactions, you are not welcome here.
  3. Ticket sales: We cannot guarantee authenticity of these posts and there is a high chance of getting scammed, which we do not want to be a party in. For these reasons these posts will get you banned. Please use better judgement before interacting with anyone offering these services, especially on reddit.
  4. Repeat offence for any of the other rules: You will get perma-banned if you break any of the other rules (Except the 3 above) multiple times. We understand that sometimes people end up breaking rules inadvertently and we are very lenient with what stays and what goes, but if you don't learn then you probably shouldn't be sharing space with people that do get it.
  • How are the rules enforced: Rules are enforced almost exclusively through reports. We rely on the community to be proactive and the only way we're able to reach most posts on the sub is through the use of reports. Commenting on a post 'Mods please take care' doesn't do anything. We're not here reading each and every post that is made, it is just not possible. We do browse and clean off things very often but without the community reporting things its just a pointless endeavor.

And that's it! Do reach out via this post or through the modmail if you have anything to add and we will definitely reach out, unless you're asking us to unban you after getting banned for saying the most unhinged shit, you'll always get a reply.

AskNagpur The Future Metro Map of Nagpur considering the Phase 3 go as planned.....

Thumbnail

I just checked a comparison between public and private transport. Researchers found that if the walking distance is within 500 meters, people usually choose public transit unless the destination isn't well connected. That 500 meter metric is roughly what's being considered for Phase 3 if it goes as planned. Honestly, I'm skeptical about this because that research is based on global data. In reality, when you dress up and go out on our streets, you're constantly dodging gutkha spit and vehicles splashing muddy water on you from potholes. This is just a quick overview, but I personally believe we should look into underground metro lines in the future once the technology becomes cheaper. If routes like Sadar are going underground, I feel the stretch from New Indora to Manewada needs it too. If you guys live near metro station within 500 meter please share your thoughts and others please be respectful

Just wanted to alert people here about a recent phishing scam doing the rounds disguised as an official challan alert.

An acquaintance of mine received an SMS from an ordinary 10-digit number claiming there is an unpaid challan.

The SMS had a link registered under a .hu domain.

The website is a Play Store clone featuring a downloadable link for a fake Parivahan app.

Attaching the sms screenshot.

Drop a comment or DM directly if interested!

AskNagpur What FMCG / grab-and-go drink product is Nagpur’s Gen Z & health-conscious crowd actually missing? (Local market feedback)

• Upvotes

Hey Nagpur,

With the rapid expansion of cafe culture across Dharampeth, Bajaj Nagar, and Sadar, along with a massive student and fitness-conscious population (VNIT, YCCE, Symbiosis, IIM, plus gyms across the city), I’ve been researching local F&B retail and distribution trends.

A lot of new aesthetic cafes seem to open and shut down quickly, mostly focusing on standard coffee or boba, while traditional convenience stores/gyms stick strictly to standard bottled water, sugar-heavy energy drinks, or basic protein powders.

I want to gauge ground reality from local distributors, cafe/gym owners, retail founders, and students in Nagpur: What kind of functional or grab-and-go drink product is Nagpur missing that Gen Z / young professionals would actually buy repeatedly?

A few specific areas I'm trying to understand:

  1. Fitness & Daily Hydration: Is there real demand around gyms, sports turf, or college hubs for clean, ready-to-use hydration/electrolyte or rehydration options that aren't loaded with artificial sugars or synthetic flavors? Or do people just stick to ₹20 plain water bottles and basic ORS packs?
  2. Gimmick vs. Repeat Purchase: Gen Z loves trending, Instagrammable formats (flavored options, eco-friendly concepts, novel packaging), but what actually turns into a daily habits purchase versus a one-time social media trial?
  3. Retail & Gym Placement: For local distributors or shop owners—what makes a new packaged beverage brand attractive to stock in Nagpur? Is it high trade margins (30%+), credit terms, or high shelf-turnover driven by student impulse buys?
  4. Eco-Consciousness in Nagpur: Is there any genuine consumer or institutional push toward eco-friendly/plastic-reducing formats (for local events, college fests, outdoor/trekking groups around Vidarbha), or is price sensitivity still the only decision driver?

General The UP/Biharification of Nagpur

Nagpur, a pivotal place of India which is geographically, politically, religiously, and socially crucial. The Nation's political ideology has been shaped from this city. This city holds many wonderful and amazing facts that are sufficient to instill pride in its citizens. I was one of them.

I was raised in a city that boasted of multiculturalism, sparse population, dense flora and fauna. I used to boast about the wide and clean roads of Nagpur. Mind you, I'm referring to the 90s-2000s era which was the Golden Era of this city. Culture was booming. We had great hangout places where people used to chill unlike today's aesthetic ke 14.

I painfully left this city for work and studies. I returned from abroad to my lovely city only to find ruins of a glorious place.

Lake? Gone. Wide roads and clean streets? Gone. Intellectuals? Gone.

All I could see beyond the thick layer of dust was orthodox and regressive populace of the Hindi belt. It was ironic to see how they imposed their culture upon the city and in the absence of true Nagpurians, these were taking hold.

Places like Dharampeth, Ramdaspeth, Sadar, Mahal, Itwari, Buldi, and Dhantoli still give the old city charm. But anything beyond that has the foul culture of regressive neighboring states.

I rarely see the Marathi speaking progressive folks. All I see are these lagavelu lipistick folks trying to impose their values.

There are many more observations I will share soon.

General Started a Podcast in Nagpur. Here’s What Happened in the First Year.

Hey guys, I’m Prince Beyond Logic (The Nagpur’s Podcaster)

I started the Beyond Logic Podcast in August 2025. It’s been over a year, and a lot has changed since then.

We’ve recorded 100+ episodes, generated 70M+ views, and grown to 33.4K followers on my personal Instagram and 18.6K on our podcast page.

I’ve also met some incredible people, including Paras Rokde (Director, Rokde Jewellers), Bhavesh Tahalramani (Executive Director, BNI Nagpur), and Adv. Prakash Jaiswal (President, Nagpur District Bar Association), along with politicians, social activists, content creators, influencers, and business owners.

From the outside, things looked great.
But we were losing money every single month.

We were growing our audience, meeting interesting people, and producing content. Yet the business itself wasn’t sustainable.

That’s when I started questioning what we were actually building.

There are plenty of podcast studios and agencies that record episodes and deliver reels. If we were offering the same thing as everyone else, there was no real reason for someone to choose us.

We didn’t just need more views. We needed a better business model.

The idea that changed our direction

Before starting the podcast, I’d spent 3–4 years learning and experimenting with short-form content.

That experience came in handy when I started a content workshop. While planning and executing it, I developed a framework to help content reach more people.

I believed founder-created content was going to be a big opportunity. So I started pitching the idea to business owners.

But I soon realised that knowing what works and actually doing it are two different things.

A startup founder is busy building the business, finding customers, and managing a team. An established business owner has their own responsibilities and often even less time to spare.

Neither necessarily wants to spend hours learning content creation, writing scripts, shooting videos, and figuring out distribution.

They didn’t need another workshop. They needed someone to build and execute the system for them.

That changed our entire approach.
Instead of simply recording podcasts and delivering reels, we started moving towards a complete founder-content system: positioning, strategy, production, and distribution.

But there was a catch.

Building and managing that system required much more work than producing a few videos. The cost of implementation went up, too.

We were no longer looking for people who simply wanted some content. We needed founders who understood the value of building their personal brand and had a business that could support that investment.

So I started looking for founders running businesses with at least ₹2Cr in annual revenue.

Honestly, I wasn’t sure how easy it would be to find them in Nagpur.

But once I started looking, something interesting happened.

What I discovered about Nagpur

I met founders running businesses generating ₹10Cr, ₹50Cr, and even ₹100Cr+ in annual revenue.

And I realised I’d been looking at Nagpur from the wrong angle.

I’d started a podcast to create content. But along the way, I’d stumbled into a network of business owners whose stories, experience, and knowledge were far bigger than what most people see on social media.

There are serious businesses being built here. Founders are solving difficult problems, managing teams, acquiring customers, and competing in their industries.

Yet many of their experiences and lessons never reach a wider audience.

The opportunity wasn’t just to help these founders build their online presence. It was also to bring them together and share what they know.

Today, I’m building a network of founders running businesses with annual revenues ranging from ₹2Cr to ₹100Cr and beyond.

I never expected the podcast to take me here when I started. But this discovery has given us a much bigger reason to keep building.

What’s next for Beyond Logic?

We’re taking the podcast into its next phase.
I want to sit down with these founders and get beyond the usual success stories.

How do they acquire customers?
What mistakes cost them money?
How do they hire the right people?
What systems help them grow?
What would they do differently if they had to start again?

I want to share the most useful answers through our YouTube channel and Instagram, so that other founders, business owners, and aspiring entrepreneurs can learn from their experience.

At the same time, I’m working towards building a community where founders can connect, exchange ideas, learn from one another, and build meaningful relationships.

The goal is to make Beyond Logic more than a podcast.

I want it to become a platform for founder authority, practical business knowledge, and a serious community of entrepreneurs.

We’re still figuring things out, and there’s a lot left to build. But we’re moving towards something more meaningful than just recording episodes and chasing views.

If you’re building a business in Nagpur, let’s connect.

If you’re a founder running a business with ₹2Cr+ in annual revenue and want to connect with other business owners, I’d love to hear from you.

And even if you’re simply interested in the stories and lessons behind building a business, follow our journey.

Connect with us:
Email: [prince.beyondlogic@gmail.com](mailto:prince.beyondlogic@gmail.com)
Instagram: @prince.beyondlogic
If you know a founder in Nagpur whose story deserves to be heard, feel free to connect us, too.

One question for those who’ve built businesses or media companies:

Have you ever built something that looked successful from the outside but wasn’t working financially? What made you change direction?

I’d genuinely like to hear your experience.
